Meet the Jarbah family!
The Jarbah's are building their home in Pacific in partnership with the Seattle/South King County Habitat affiliate. Their family has an amazing story! Most recently they have established a local nonprofit called The Children's Welfare International (CWI) www.thecwi.org. The mission of the CWI is to help break the cycle of war and to help fight the AIDS epidemic that devastates children and families in Liberia. Joseph Jarbah came to the US in 2004, followed by the rest of his family in 2006, fleeing war in Liberia and the Ivory Coast. They are excited about making their dream of homeownership a reality with Habitat. Meet Molly Nickolson!
Molly had been searching for an organization to volunteer with that would offer both an inspiring mission and flexibility with her schedule as an international flight attendant. She found both with Habitat. Molly has seen the benefit of affordable housing in communities of all sizes around the world AND her own backyard.

Molly says she was "kind of scared" when she began volunteering, but loves that she is spending time learning something new every day and giving back to the community at the same time. She has enjoyed all of the people she has met including the current AmeriCorps team. Recently, Molly was talking to a new Issaquah Highlands homeowner and she recalls that, "Lydia kept saying, 'Thank you! Thank you!' to me. I said, 'You really don't have to thank me.'
